I've been watching Skaara's episodes on Stargate for a canon refresh before I app him and damn I forgot how young everybody looked in S1. *g* Also I MISS KAWALSKI. *ahem* Now that is out of my system I dive back into the Stargate pool.

I'm not sure exactly what it says about me that not only do I enjoy writing Lara Raith from Dresden Files but the muse I just picked up for prompt communities is also loud as hell in my head. Who is it you ask. Belle Du Jour from Secret Diary of a Call Girl. *snicker* Does that mean that I enjoy pulling the strings of pups that use sex as a weapon, commodity and bargaining chip? Or that I like strong women that make no apologies for who they are and what they do? Yeah, I like the second explanation better. :P

Abby Sciuto - So very content in the village. It was made for her. She's met Wonder Woman, John Conner with a promise to meet the Terminator, A talking turtle, Hercules and Iolaus PLUS Gibbs and Ducky are in the village. She has a great job at P3. They will be lucky to drag her butt out of the village. She ain't leavin' it.

Donna Noble - She's made friends with River and Martha and she's met a former Doctor. Donna plans to continue giving Ten a very hard time. It's her job after all. She will meet Martha's beau and most likely embarrass him or Martha or get double points for embarrassing both of them. If Jack is at the wedding LOOK OUT That's all I'm saying. P She needs to meet Rose in the village which will happen at the wedding I'm sure. Also nine so she can snark with the best of them.

Dorothy Gale - Dorothy is happy. I need her to get out and meet more people and kids her own age. Maybe the summer stuff will help with that. No plans for her at the moment but she does need to get in trouble at least once. She wouldn’t be Dorothy if she didn't.

Ethan Rayne - Evil is afoot and he is loving it. Helping his buddy Lore with stuff and helping the charming Dru with being a pain in the Slayer's ass. Good times.

Frodo Baggins - Frodo is adjusting to life in the village. He's met Faramir and Aragorn but he has yet to make the acquaintance of Boromir. Sam is there and really that's all that matters. May do a crack post where Dorothy thinks Frodo is a munchkin.

John Crichton - John misses Aeryn and the baby. Hell, he even misses Nygel but he'll never admit that. He is beyond happy that Chiana is in the village. He needs to get out more and meet people. Nothing on the horizon for him and that's cool. He's happy as is.

Justine - Justine is healing with her broken leg. Thomas is gone from the village for good (or so she thinks) so she's emo girl at the moment. Her boss at Patience and Paints has left so she is working alone there. She is staying to herself not wanting Lara to see her and not really caring about anything. Oh yeah to add to her emo self, Justine is going to go bonkers with the help of Marie. Good times.

Kayla Silverfox - Oh look another emo pup. She's adjusting to an after life that isn’t an after life. She is having a hard time adjusting to Logan having a blank expression when he talks about her death. Kayla has no idea how he lost his memories or why. At the moment she's thinking it has to do with her betrayal which is making her guilt even more heavy. Kayla is deciding if it would be better all around if she stayed out of his way or not. Better for Logan not to have to deal with someone that he doesn’t know and better for her not to see the blank expression on his features when he looks at her. Mun however is having none of that and ooo yeah the girl is going to deal whether she wants to or not. :P

Lara Raith - Lara just returned from a canon update through Turn Coat. She will be involved with the Band of Brothers Baal plot plus get a tasty virgin. Win/win. A House of Raith plot might be in the offing which is all kinds of awesome. At some point she will throw a wrench in the happy Thomas/Justine dynamic by noticing the little doe.

Remy LeBeau - With Rogue gone, Remy is bummed. He's just hanging out in the village not doing much of anything. I need to get him more involved.

Romana II - Romana has started a tentative friendship with the father of her son. *g* That is fun to type. Evil is afoot in her future which makes me happy. She needs to interact with the Doctors and Companions more. She really needs to meet Sarah Jane and K-9 whenever they're about. Also, I think I'm going to be very, very evil and not canon update her but have her learn her role in Gallifrey's destruction. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the future though. Not for quite some time.

Ruby - Ruby just got her ass handed to her on a platter by Lilith. Fun! Sam was being nurse maid. Once the Lilith plot is over, I'll need to think of something mean to do to her. *g*

Snow White - Snow is missing Bigby and cubs like a missing thing. She'll probably get a job at the school to help with that. She needs to interact with others. When I do an open post no one tags in to her except other Fables. Need to work on that.

On the horizon - Dorothy "Ace" McShane - Dr. Who, Harry Pearce - Spooks and a few on the taken list that if they get nailed in the next update I'm scooping them up bigtime.

I woke up this morning to learn that Andy Hallett the actor that played Lorne has died from heart disease. This makes me very sad. He was a very talented man and will be missed greatly.

For those on my flist that are Dresden fans I thought I would pass this along. EEEEEE is it the 7th yet? :P

Have any of you read A History of the Universe by Lance Parkin?

I just checked it out of the library and have only skimmed it so far. Sheesh there is a lot of information and it's amazing. Don't be surprised if another Doctor or Time Lord/Lady shows up in a certain village. :P

I'm slowly but surely going through Classic Who. I haven't found any of 6 yet (he's the smart ass/rude one yes?) I've watched some of 4 and 5 but that's it. God, I love the cheese.

Four I remember from my childhood and PBS station. Not that I remember much of it, only that he had big hair and a long scarf. *g*

Two people that have stuck out for me, until I see 6 that is *g* are Romana II and Ace.

So, Viv has suckered me into another fandom. Okay, to be honest Robert Vaughn was the dangling carrot but still I'm totally blaming her. I've just finished watching an episode of Hustle. Why oh why did no one tell me about this cool British show before now? Looks at everyone.

I get pretty eye candy to go with cons. It's a dream come true. *g*

And you're right about the brothers. He is a better actor though Philip is prettier. :P

Lara Raith
Jim Butcher has strong women characters. It's one of the reasons why I love his books so much besides the smart ass/quick wit of Harry. Of all the women, two of them have captivated me and ironically I play them both in H&M. Lara Raith and Justine. I have always loved vampires. Well, vampires that are vampires and not neutered omg I haz to have a cure for my vampirism types. I love that Lara makes absolutely no apologies for who or what she is. She adapts to the modern world yet she can also hold her own within the 'old world' rules of the supernatural. She plays people with finesse and will kill you with a smile. That's literally sometimes.

My favorite villain is Iago and Lara is the feminine version of him.


Confident women characters
I am wominz hear me ROWR. :P I've always been attracted to confident and strong women in media. Even Justine who seems weak isn't at all. She's very strong. They are steel magnolias which is a movie I adore. I believe that all women have a strength inside of them. When I was younger, I had a teacher that talked about a woman that to the outside world seemed brow beaten and emotionally whipped by her husband but the truth of the matter was every day while he was at work she cleaned the toilet with his toothbrush. That story had a profound effect on me that strength could be found anywhere and in anyone.


NCIS
This is where I get my geek on. If I could stand the sight of blood or you know was good in math and science, which I'm not, this would have been career number two. Career number one of course would have been anthropology.

I adore NCIS. I love the character dynamics between the team members as well as the mystery of the week and how they find the bad guys. I'm more interested in the forensic aspects of it which is probably why I love Abby so much. Beyond the fact that I am a lot like her. It's the character interactions that bring me back week after week though. I love seeing a little of their back story being revealed or the little glimpses of their personality that you never knew existed.


Writing/Fanfic
I began writing when I was about ten years old. They were little fantasy stories that involved mystical creatures (mostly leprechauns). I didn't write fanfic until I was older and the reason I began writing those was because I wanted to explore what happened with a minor character in a story that I'd read. To be honest I had no idea that was called fanfic until someone told me. Then those stories led to exploring AUs and what ifs of my favorite shows or books. It exploded from there.


RP experience
I'm relatively new to role playing and I've had good times and bad times as is expected with RPing. My biggest pet peeve is if someone is OOC. It won't stop me from picking up a character when another in my fandom is horribly played but it does stop me from tagging into a thread where they are. Characterization is in the eye of the beholder, I get that, but there are some truths that are at their core that should remain constant.

H&M is one of the friendliest and smoothest running game I've ever been in. Manda kept trying to entice me to play but I'd been burned out on a bad game on GJ and lost my desire to be in any game. I didn't mind the one on ones or the type of RP that comes from prompt writing in communities but I wasn't going into a game. She kept spamming me with links to threads and then in good rpers rock (or whatever that comm is called) where everyone was high fiving each other I thought fine, I'll give it a go. I entered with Lara because a) she's my favorite and b) she's a villain. I thought if she could be handled maturely then this was a cool place. Manda was right and H&M rocked.

All in all, through good times and bad, I'm glad I wandered into role playing.
